My work revolves around colour and texture. I am drawn to contemporary abstract design. I specialise in woven and printed textiles for interiors and find myself to be hands on and learning every day. I am a highly dedicated and self-motivated textile designer with an eye for colour, presentation, and detail-oriented, with excellent time management.

​Nature has always been and continues to be the source of inspiration for my textile creations. This is captured through my photography to form colour combinations and extract distinctive features, which allows the development of beautiful hand and digitally printed surface designs as well as woven fabrics. These surfaces are created through the exploration of different complexities of yarn and weave structures. In addition, I enjoy working with traditional handcraft methods such as marbling to generate a series of print and organic design ideas.

During my final year at Birmingham City University, I fully immersed myself in exploring innovative and alternative ways of textile colouration for my final major project, inspired by my dissertation investigating 'The potential of incorporating natural pigmented colour onto textiles'. The main focus of my final project was to use environmentally conscious processes to develop a textile design collection for interiors.
